Jagadis Bose National Science Talent Search (JBNSTS) an Autonomous Registered Society promoted by the Government of West Bengal invites applications for JBNSTS Senior Scholarships Test, 2013 in basic sciences, engineering and medicine for students studying in West Bengal.
Scholarship amount: Rs. 1,000/- per month and an annual book grant of Rs. 1,000/-
Duration of the scholarship: All the years of BE / MBBS / M.Sc. degrees
Eligibility: Candidates who have passed 10+2 examinations (2013) and currently studying in the first year Basic Sciences (Hons), Engineering or Medicine in registered Colleges / Institutes / Universities in West Bengal are eligible for the test.
How to apply: Application forms are available with the Principal of College or can be obtained from the JBNSTS office by sending a self addressed stamped (worth Rs. 10/-) envelope (20 cm. x 12 cm.) or can be downloaded from the JBNSTS website : http://www.jbnsts.org. Non-refundable application fee of Rs. 200/- (Bank Draft in favour of 'Jagadis Bose National Science Talent Search) has to be paid and the completed application form shall be sent to the JBNSTS office.
Selection process: It is a multistage selection process: Written Test (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology) followed by Interview and finally Scientific Creativity Test for selected candidates based on Interview.
