UJMT Fogarty Global Health Fellowship

A consortium of UNC-CH, Johns Hopkins University, Morehouse School of Medicine and Tulane University funded by Fogarty International Center and affiliated centers and offices within the National Institutes of Health launched the Fogarty Global Health Fellows Program. This consortium brings together 4 top-ranked universities and 19 international research training sites in Africa, Asia, and South America.

Who can apply?

  • Post-doctoral researchers in a junior faculty position who have completed an Institutional Research Training Grant (T32) in any of the health science disciplines
  • Early-stage postdoctoral researchers
  • 3.and doctoral students from schools of dentistry, medicine, nursing, pharmacy, public health and veterinary medicine

Eligibility: U.S. Citizens, non-citizen nationals, green card holders or permanent residents

Selection process:
For postdoctoral candidates priority is given to those with likely faculty appointment during or immediately after completing the fellowship. All applicants will be judged primarily on the following criteria: training record to date, quality of the research project, previous publications, letters of recommendation, institutional support in terms of supplemental funding and potential faculty appointment, and the likelihood of a successful research career and future academic plans.
